Now in the last few years, I actually think the fashion industry has at last clapped their eyes on the truth of fashion sizes. Although it was just five or so years ago where you had to either squeeze into little sized fashion clothing, today we have the relief of plus size. Fashion items such as babydoll lingerie (that comes in plus size) make it far simpler for the regular lady to find a size that fits her.

I reckon it’s about women forcing the industry to wake up - the standard size of men and women in the United Kingdom has gotten bigger over the years, and although fashion companies have been quite idle in reacting, they ultimately realise that profits come from listening to market forces.

To add to that, I’ve seen a shift in fashion towards pragmatism. Finished are the styles of absurd stilettoe heels and heavy makeup; nowadays it’s common to individualise your fashion without being pronounced a fashion pariah - which honestly makes the high street and clubs far more fascinating locations! This new trend toward individualism has been a great filip for the more diminutive fashion stores that can supply to micro-trends going on within the general public.
