In the beginning, you see, there were only the stars. There were the music hall stars, then there were the radio stars, then you had the movie stars, and after came pop and rock stars. Eventually a whole industry grew up around them to tell us all about them, about their likes and their dislikes, their lives and their loves, and to document, wherever possible, their every waking moment.

It got to be so that, eventually, there was more media to comment upon them than there were of stars themselves - just not enough to go round - so the media industry turned towards the environment that nurtured the stars, see if it couldn’t catch them on the way up, as it were, help’em along a little, maybe. And tell us all about howe things were going with them in the meantime.

Let’s talk about how this affected rock and roll, for example. I can personally remember when just about every rock writer, in an effort to get famous by being the writer who discovered the Next Big Thing, would be writing enthusiastically about supposedly fantastic groups that no one else on the planet had ever heard of. The more obscure they were, the better. If they hadn’t made an album, that was good. If they hadn’t actually gigged yet, that was better. This would typically last for roughly one week per band, which meant that readers were regaled on a weekly basis with enthusiastic and detailed overviews of bands we’d never heard of and, after that one week, would never hear of again.

Which didn’t hurt us any. We just stopped reading the music press. But the implications for up-and-coming bands, the genuine ones, the ones that could of made it if they’d just been left alone, was a whole lot more serious.

It got to be, you see, that in paying such close attention to the environment that nurtured stars, the press destroyed that environment, and so stopped any new stars from coming into being.

The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle says that, roughly speaking, if you shine a light on a sub-atomic particle, reason being you want to know where it is at some particular time, due to its extreme tinyness it gets affected by the beam of light you’re shining at it, and that beam of light shoves it over a bit from where it was before you shone the beam of light at it. If you want to know where it was before you shone that beam of light at it, you’re kind of screwed, because you have no way of looking at it without shining that light at it, which means in turn that….etc.etc.
Similarly, in paying such close attention to the environment that stars were created in, namely, obscurity, the media so altered that environment that it couldn’t produce stars anymore, which meant in turn that…etc.etc.

So, we now had a situation in which not only were there not enough stars to go round for the media to feature, we now had a situation in which it was impossible for stars to be able to mature and develop their potential and thus come into being. In the same way that the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle suggests that by observing the behaviour of sub-atomic particles we alter it, in trying too hard to spot nascent stars we stop them from ever forming. Stardom needs obscurity to find its feet in, you need to develop out of the spotlight if you’re ever going to be good enough to be in it.

This left the media in a total spot. They needed stars to write about and feature so they could pay for food for the table, the roofs over their heads etc. so, in the absence of any real stars, or any up-and-coming stars, stars had to be invented.

Hence Reality TV shows. Hence Pop Idol. Hence Big Brother, and most of all, hence Chantelle.

She didn’t exist as a celebrity, so the media had to invent her.

Oh look; - they did!

“Big” Bill Kruse probably watches far too much tv. Also, he operates Posters & Art Prints, Crystal & Glass Gifts and SEO Services sites.

Female Masturbation - Excessive Indulgence and How to Contain
the Act

Female masturbation as the word denotes defines the act of
Female masturbation in itself. Is the act of Female masturbation
merely a Channel for satisfying the inherent sexual urges that
exists within every female once she gains puberty! No… The act
of Female masturbation is inherent in every female as was
destined by God the Almighty.

Here we need to discuss why the need for Female masturbation at
all! Why this act (of female masturbation) was created by God
the Almighty… can we not do without! Are there females who do
not feel the urge at all in their lifetime? No, it is never so!
Every female the moment she attains puberty develops this urge
inherently come whatever may! Why so?

If we try to understand the femininity as was created by God the
Almighty we shall arrive at a conclusion that unless there is a
Channel for dissipating the excess energies preserved in an
individual… there is always a possibility that the individual
self would find unhealthy means of gratification. The Channel of
Female masturbation was built by God in the similar manner as we
have a pressure release valve in a pressure cooker.

Even the most accomplished females existing on Mother Earth have
at any stage indulged in female masturbation. One may admit or
not because of the nature of feminine gender (contrary to what
the famous philosopher and psychologist Bertrand Russell
acknowledged in his autobiography that he was a genius and to
that matter an expert in the act of male masturbation).
Admittance or a denial but the truthful facts can never be
denied.

Yes! It is a fact that the most accomplished females existing on
Mother Earth were able to transmute this potential source of
energy into more creative channels. And it is these
accomplishments which every female must indulge in. Why indulge
in Female masturbation when one can easily transmute this most
potential source of energy into creative activity that leads one
to gaining fame in the field of our liking.

Admittance by most females to the act of Female masturbation
would not be accomplished yet, but the likes of Mother Teresa,
famous Prime Ministers like Golda Meier, Margaret Thatcher,
Romano Bandaranaike and Indira Gandhi are some of the
established and accomplished leaders of the world who whenever
felt the urge channelised it to more creative paths.

Why indulge in the act of Female masturbation and destroy our
future… Do we realize that this potential source of energy
given to every female every month had a very potential reason
for it to be given by God? Unless and until this excessive dose
of energy which is available to every female every month was
provided by God… the journey as a manifested human being would
not have been possible for a female.

The rigors of the day-to-day working require a massive dose of
energy and it is not within the powers of a female to produce
this energy on its own. God the Almighty graced all females with
this bountiful source of energy available to every woman every
month. Knowing well that it may not be possible for every female
to channelise this energy into creative forms God had to create
another source to Channel out the excess energy… and hence the
act of female masturbation.

Female masturbation is not an act to be ashamed of but why
Channel out this most creative energy by indulging in female
masturbation. Why not transmute it into more creative forms of
energy existing on Mother Earth. It is an established fact that
if from the times a woman gains puberty… she does not indulge
in the act of Female masturbation then this woman shall make her
mark in the world with golden letters.

It is only the act of transmuting the monthly source of energy
into more creative uses by which one can put an end to the act
of female masturbation. And to be able to transmute this monthly
source of energy into more creative uses is not that difficult a
task as it may be presumed to be. One only needs to establish at
an early age a goal of life. And if we are to achieve this goal
of life within the physical lifetime of 70 to 80 years then
where is the time to indulge in the act of female masturbation.

We must always remember that we are not alone in the act of
female masturbation. Many rather most indulge in this act of
Female masturbation but may not be able to freely admit it.
Indulgence in the act of Female masturbation is not harmful but
it is also not creative. Why not pray to God the Almighty to
help us transmute the potential energy given to every female
every month. And it is this act of non-indulgence in Female
masturbation that shall win us the day.

We also need to remember that non-indulgence on female
masturbation shall increase the resistance of the body to such
levels that no disease can overtake us. Free of all diseases for
ever one basks in the glory of non-indulgence in female
masturbation. It need not be emphasized that non-indulgence in
female masturbation shall lead one to unfettered heights in
leadership and accomplishments in life.

Few chapters in the medical history of Athens County, Ohio, are more notorious or fascinating than that concerning Walter Freeman, M.D., and the more than 200 frontal lobotomies he performed at the Athens State Hospital in seven visits between 1953 and 1957.

Until the middle of the twentieth century, treatment for most inpatients in large state hospitals, like that in Athens, was limited to providing a safe and humane environment. Effective drugs for mental illnesses did not become available until the late 1950s and early 1960s.

In 1936 Egas Moniz, M.D., a Portugese physician who eventually won a Nobel Prize for his work, reported the results of his earliest frontal lobotomies in a French medical journal. Dr. Walter Freeman, a neurologist at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., who had met Dr. Moniz a year earlier, was
impressed with the report. Within the same year Dr. Freeman teamed with a neurosurgeon to perform the operation, and over the next decade the partners operated on many more cases. However, Freeman became frustrated with the operation’s limitations. In 1946 he developed an alternative procedure that
could be done more quickly, outside an operating room, and without anesthetic drugs.

He used electroconvulsive therapy to produce drugless anesthesia. After the patient’s convulsive movements subsided, Dr. Freeman operated.

Lifting an upper eyelid, he inserted a long, metal pick between the eyeball and the eyelid until it reached the bony roof of the eye-socket. He pounded the pick through the bone into the braincase where it entered a frontal lobe of the brain. He repeated the insertion procedure on the opposite side. Then, using the outer ends of the picks as handles, he made sweeping movements which severed and destroyed the frontal lobes. He finished before the patient awoke from the after-effects of the induced seizure.

Dr. Freeman performed this procedure in state hospitals nationwide that were understaffed, overflowing with patients, and very receptive to any new treatment that held promise. Every state hospital of that era could give electroconvulsive treatment, and the hospital did not have to provide an operating room. A minor procedure room sufficed.

Freeman met with families of patients, explained the risks and benefits of the procedure, and answered questions. Some families consented and others didn’t. Assisted by the local medical staff, and with a succession of patients filing into and out of the procedure room, Freeman typically operated on his entire
case-load in just one day. Charging $25 per patient for his services, he departed within a few days for his next destination.

Freeman visited the Athens State Hospital more times than any of the other state hospitals in Ohio. On his first visit in 1953 he was treated as a minor celebrity. The Athens Messenger of November 16 reported his arrival with the headline “Lobotomies to be performed: surgery may relieve mental illness of many patients at state hospital.” A follow-up article on November 20–entitled “Dr. Freeman, pioneer in trans-orbital technique, demonstrates method: lobotomies are performed on 31 Athens State Hospital patients”–showed pictures of Freeman with the local staff, including Superintendent Charles Creed, Assistant
Superintendent Hubert Fockler and Drs. Beatrice Postle Fockler, Wayne Dutton and Genevieve Garrett Dutton.

The surgeries were performed in the Receiving Hospital, a separate building constructed in 1950 which is now the eastern-most portion of the main building.

Wolfhard Baumgaertel, M.D., longtime general practitioner in Albany, Ohio, was present for Freeman’s third visit to Athens in October 1954. Dr. Baumgaertel watched the procedure on the day’s first patient, and then provided after-care for this patient and all the others who followed.

Despite his familiarity with surgery, Dr. Baumgaertel recalled being surprised by the procedure, saying, “I do not remember which made me more aghast while watching this–the hammering of the picks into the brain or the simultaneous movement of the picks’ handles in the doctor’s hands.”

Describing his after-care of Freeman’s patients, Dr. Baumgaertel said, “At regular intervals the patients arrived in the recovery room, my domain during this, to me, unknown and incomprehensible event. My main equipment consisted of several suction machines and oxygen, the latter being somewhat unnecessary. Vital signs were monitored until the patient woke up. We had no major complications. Some nasal drainage of cerebral liquor was not considered a problem.

“I do not remember any immediate or late post-operative deaths in the patients I attended to. Most returned to their floors in the asylum within one to two weeks. Of course, none of them were able to recall the event, but there were also no questions. I remember having been surprised to the point of being shaken when I discovered a total absence of wonder on the part of the patients as to what happened to them.”

Geneva Riley, R.N., who was director of nursing at the Athens State Hospital 1975-1993, witnessed the same procedure at another facility. She likened the noise made by the picks to the sound of cloth tearing.

In the mid-1990s the author encountered one of Dr. Freeman’s former patients at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville in Nelsonville, Ohio. His computed tomographic (CT) scan showed large areas of damage to the frontal lobes. The radiologist, unaware of the patient’s prior history, interpreted the abnormalities as due to strokes.

But the patient and his wife had a different story to tell. Emotionally traumatized by combat in World War II, the man was an inpatient at Athens State Hospital in the 1950s when Dr. Freeman came to town. The patient was functioning at a low level, dropping to the ground at any sudden noise and smoking cigarettes beneath a blanket. His wife agreed to the procedure which was complicated by hemorrhage. Even so, he improved and was discharged from the hospital after three months. For many years he operated heavy equipment without difficulty except for an occasional seizure.

Asked if she had regrets, the patient’s wife said, “No. I still think I made the right decision.”

Are you tired of working to make someone else rich? Have you ever wondered why your boss knows less than you but gets paid a lot more than you? There is a reason for this. It is not how much you know but what you know. If you know the one secret revealed in this article your income will take off like a rocket.

Imagine if you could work less but earn more money. Yes, it is possible for this to happen for you. You can earn more money doing 3 hours of fun work than you do working 40 hours on your unfulfilling job.

How can this be so? Well, first let me tell you that your boss either knowingly or unknowingly discovered a secret that has been making him or her a fortune at your expense. I’m sure you already knew this right?

The secret is simple, yet so powerful that once I tell you the secret, you will be able to change your circumstances forever. The secret that I learned from Marshall Sylver, one of the wealthiest people alive, literally changed my life. The secret is that “those who think govern those that labor”. Did you fully understand that universal principle? In others words, people who use their brain earn more money than people who use their brawn.

While you are trying to work harder and make more money to make ends meet, people who are more successful, work at improving their knowledge and then acting on it. Marshall Sylver put it this way, “working hard produces more hard work”.

From my experience, I found that once I learned how to change my thinking and concentrate more on building wealth my entire life improved. I have learned how to make thousands of dollars in a single day. I did this by educating myself in a highly specialized field and acting on it.

I taught this secret to a truck driver who, prior to me teaching him the secret, was forced to continue working more and more hours so his wife and children could eat without bill collectors calling and disrupting dinner. He spent all of the holidays away from his family because he was on the road all the time. In fact, I taught him this secret while he was driving and talking to me on his cell phone.

In less than a month he earned an additional $5183.50. He simply could not believe how easy it was to earn this level of income. You can now learn how to do the same. The power to increase your income is only a thought a way.

Today it has never been easier to learn how to think in a manner that produces you great wealth. I’ve written a blueprint for you titled, Wealthy Investing Secrets, that teaches you where one of the most lucrative opportunities for wealth lies.

The trucker I spoke about earlier is now able to be home for all the holidays because he was able to earn enough money to decide what and when he worked. He spends less than 3 hours a week to earn more money than he earned in 60 hours a week as a truck driver. In fact, jokingly he now tells me not to refer to him as a truck driver but as a stay at home husband and father.

Are you ready to change the title of your life? If so visit www.themoneymotivator.com now and order Wealthy Investing Secrets today.

Remember what Marshall Sylver said, “Those who think govern those who labor”.

Buying a property abroad is a lot more common these days than before - with an estimated 100,000 Brits alone doing exactly that this year. And who can blame them - warm climate, great lifestyle - cheaper property and much more. But the same people who would argue a 1 overcharge on a restaurant bill are letting the banks get away with literally thousands either because of blind faith and trust or a complete lack of knowledge.

We’re talking about transferring money.

So how do you ensure you get the best rate for your money?

Very simply you use a currency broker.

You’ve seen the property you want, the price is right, you’ve negotiated the deal, and you transfer the money across from your bank and…. Wham - the property cost you 10,000 more than you thought it would because the bank gave you a lousy deal and added so many charges.

All too often this happens - your friendly bank, trying to help you, are really only helping themselves - to YOUR MONEY. Ouch that hurt. If you have ever transferred money from one country to another you will know that banks are NOT your best friend.

Of course it’s convenient to walk into your high street bank or even an exchange bureau and change your money, and this is fine if you are changing a few hundred Pounds, Dollars or Euros. But for larger transactions then it really pays to use a currency broker. These specialist brokers will offer much better exchange rates than your high street banks because they deal exclusively in money transfers and buy millions of Euros every day.

They also have much lower overheads as they don’t need the back up systems the banks do, the sheer volume of people - cashiers and tellers, nor the large mainframe computers which takes a kings ransom to buy and a and a lottery fund to maintain.

Net result? Currency Brokers offer lower rates. Compare this to your bank who probably transfer a few hundred thousand Euros per week and have to make a larger profit from each transaction and you can easily see they aren’t geared up for high value transfers - whatever they may tell you.

Also unlike many bureaux de change and banks, Currency exchange specialists do not normally charge commission on foreign exchange transactions. The rate that you agree with the dealer is the rate that you will pay. In some cases there is a small telegraphic transfer fee of £15 to cover the cost of the international funds transfer, which delivers foreign currency to the specified foreign bank account, either the same day, or the next working day.

So how do they make their money I hear you ask - what’s the catch?
No catch. They operate by buying very large amounts of money from the money markets, they can then secure the rates not available to the general public - the headline rate or near to it. ‘They make a small margin (usually less than 0.5% or less, the banks often take a margin in the order of 1.5% to 2.00%, sometimes more) between the rate they buy from the money markets and the rate they sell to you the customer - so small you wouldn’t even notice it if they charged it to you directly.

Doesn’t seem like much but multiply that by millions of Euros per day and a small charge per transaction adds up to a working profit - great for you bad for the banks. So they don’t need to add commissions to their transactions. Unlike the banks who have lots of salaries to pay and regardless of what their advertising tells you don’t have your best interests at heart. They seldom have anyone who knows the money markets at hand to advise you - after all we are not talking an insignificant amount here - these are your hard earned pounds, dollars or euros.

Contrast this with currency specialists and you will find that almost everyone of their staff are fluent in listening and understanding you, and getting the best deal for you on an individual basis - you see they understand that you are a person and have different needs to the next person - so treat you as such.

Its not just better rates that make a currency broker an attractive option. Let’s assume you find a property and you decide to buy it now, but need to come back in a month’s time to complete. You transfer your 10% deposit.

If you did this on June 28th 2005 it would have cost you about £13,350 to transfer the 20,000 deposit. (The rate was around 1.505 euros to the pound). 1 Month later on 20th July - you come over and transfer your money - the rate is now 1.43 (the rate on that day).

Your second transfer cost you £125,874 instead of £119,601 that it would have cost you. A Difference of £6,273 - enough to buy a small car here in Spain with change for a new sofa.

How Do You ensure that the price you agree is the price you pay?
In this instance you could fix the rate using a forward contract. What this means is you can fix the rate now by paying a deposit of 10% - 15% and pay the balance when you need the funds - thus ensuring you pay exactly what you thought you were going to pay. Think of it as an insurance policy. You will pay a small premium but it is worth it to know you are covered against fluctuations.

This is also very helpful if, for example, you are buying off plan and there are staged payments. This allows you to fix the price now safe in the knowledge that you will only be paying what you expected to pay. It is possible to fix a rate for up to 2 years in advance but in reality this is only cost effective over 6 to 12 months.

So who you going to call?
Well there are many specialists around and all offer pretty much the same rates, although one in particular comes up slightly better consistently. Currency UK (www.currencyuk.co.uk) not only offers excellent rates but offer personalised professional service. That’s not to say the others don’t of course but having used currency UK personally we know they definitely do.

How do you set up an account with a Currency Broker?

In most instances it is very easy. Visit their site online and fill in the form. There is a requirement for all brokers now that they have to verify the person, the address and the funds - so don’t be shocked if they ask you lots of personal information - this is a requirement by law (EU tax Directive and money laundering initiatives).

You will need to show some evidence of your current address along with your passport, together with a declaration as to where the money is coming from. Once the formalities are over, which usually takes a day or so, you will be given an account number. You then agree your rate with the broker, transfer the money and give them the ongoing account to be transferred to. Once they receive the money they usually transfer it within 24 hours.

Some points to note.
Once the money is transferred you will be given a transaction code. If the money was transferred by SWIFT then this gives the receiving bank the instruction to release the money. However some banks hold onto the money (especially here in Spain) for anything upto five days. If this happens take the SWIFT transaction document to your receiving bank and you may be surprised at how quickly they “Find” your money.

Some banks may charge you for receiving this transfer. Before you start sending money you may be wise to agree these fees beforehand (or ask for them to be completely cancelled). Don’t get a nasty surprise when the receiving bank charges you hundreds of euros just for receiving your money.

Is it safe to use a Broker?
In short YES. For Currency UK Customers’ funds are held in designated client accounts with HSBC plc. Currency UK is the preferred foreign exchange partner of OFTA, the Offshore Financial Trade Association. All UK foreign exchange brokers of this type are regulated by HM Customs & Excise as Money Services Businesses - and you don’t get much more stringent than this

Is it worth going to a broker?
If you’re looking to transfer money from the UK to Spain (or vice versa) you can save a lot of money and time by using a broker. Once set up it is quick and efficient and you can use it for guaranteeing the long term rate, ensuring you don’t pay over the odds for your property because of currency fluctuations. You can also in some instances use the same account to pay regular amounts (like pension payments or mortgages etc). Because all brokers in the UK are regulated you can be sure that your money is safe as houses.

And if nothing else then it is at least worth going to a broker and getting a quick quote to check against the rate your bank offers - you may be surprised at how much your bank are making from you.

Strength training dominates most athletes’ fitness and
conditioning programs through out the year. In particular,
volleyball players are well-known to have one of the highest
levels of strength training dedication. These elite athletes
realize the benefits of a proper periodized strength training
program.

Volleyball pushes players to the extreme. Each athlete is
expected to excel in explosive movements, vertical jumps, power
hitting and intense serves. The position rotation in volleyball
signifies the definite need for comprehensive players. Being a
great blocker is a huge plus, but volleyball thrives off of
all-around spectacular athletes. Strength training is a massive
component to any elite athlete.

Strength training for volleyball requires the knowledge of
periodization. Periodization means changing one or more
variables within your strength training program on a regular and
consistent basis. These variables can include the exercise, the
frequency of lifting, the intensity of lifting, or the method of
lifting.

Volleyball players, as well as most other athletes, work on a
yearly periodization schedule. They break their year down into 4
distinct segments or cycles. Each new segment means they should
change their strength training program to match that cycle’s
goals.

The four segments can be broken down into the off-season, the
pre-season, the in-season, and the post-season. Each season has
unique goals and a unique strength training program. Athletes
allow time for resting, building strength and building sport
specific functions before the start of the official game season.

The off-season’s goal is to build power and strength. The
off-season utilizes power exercises and higher weights to
increase muscle size and strength. Typically, the strength
training program is most intense during the off-season. Athletes
invest a lot of time to their basic fitness foundation.

The pre-season focuses on actual sport specific functions.
Squatting, jumping, lateral stepping, hitting and spiking are
all common volleyball movements. The pre-season volleyball
strength training routine is less intense than the off-season.
The goal is to maintain that strength and power, but to perfect
sport specific movements. Most of the routine is dedicated to
mock volleyball games and drills.

The in-season purely focuses on maintaining the off and
pre-season’s goals. The off-season built power and the
pre-season put that power to use. Athletes enjoy the fruits of
their labor during the in-season. The spike that flies past the
opponent’s head and drills into the floor is proof that strength
training for volleyball works.

The post-season’s goals are about relaxation and repair. This is
a time of year that includes low intensity workouts. The goal is
to allow the body to heal after grueling months of high
intensity workouts. These few weeks of rest and low intensity
strength training and cardio bring the entire training year to a
close. The post-season delivers a skilled and healed athlete to
begin the off-season strength and power building again.

Off-season ~ Pre-season ~ In-season ~ Post-season ~ Repeat

Regardless of the season, a few things remain constant.
Volleyball players should always perform one or more exercises
for each muscle group. Each exercise should be performed through
a full ROM (range of motion), and each strength training routine
should steer towards sport specific movements.

Strength training for volleyball players is an essential and
organic component of their fitness and conditioning program.
Strength training delivers the edge that all athletes need to
succeed. Periodization is necessary in all strength training
programs. Volleyball and other sports have taught us the
importance of a proper fitness routine based on specific goals.

Often times when people here the word “invest” they become
frightened. It is probably one of the most misunderstood
words on the planet. As a result, many employees as well
as other individuals refuse to invest their money in anything
other than a passbook savings or money market account. That
includes those who have retirement accounts available through
their employer.

So, what is stopping you from starting to invest? The following are three of the most common reasons are I found after taking a poll:

1. I don’t have enough money to invest.

2. I have to pay off my bills first.

3. I have money to invest, but I am afraid.

What can you do to alleviate your fear of investing? There
are many inexpensive ways to start investing. You can open
an investment account with a broker that sells shares or
partial shares of stocks, this type of broker is usually
found online. You can open a mutual fund account with a
mutual fund company, that will allow you to start with a
small amount of money. You can start investing with your
company employee retirement plan. And finally, you will
have to shed some old baggage about investing, for example,
“I will start investing when I get my bills paid off,” or “I am
afraid to invest.” The main questions being, how do you shed
this baggage and allay all fears?

1. The first most common reason the poll respondents don’t start investing is because they think it is too expensive. They feel a lot of money is needed to start investing in stocks or mutual funds.

There are mutual fund companies that will allow you to start
an investment account for as little as one hundred dollars,
and add as little as twenty-five dollars a month. You can
do a search for mutual funds in any internet search engine
or research them in your local library. There are many companies
that will allow you to invest in a few shares or partial shares
of stock, starting with as little as eight dollars a month, and
adding eight dollars a month to your account to purchase additional shares or partial shares. Using your company retirement account is another way to invest with ease. In most cases, you will have the option to pick among investments already chosen by your company. The money is taken out of your check, so you don’t miss the funds and you receive tax advantages.

2. The second most common reason the respondents gave is that they are told to pay off bills before they start to invest.

It is a good idea to have your debt well under control
before you start to invest. The interest rates on
outstanding debts are sometimes in excess of the interest
rates on investments, coupled with compounded interest, debt
payments can be excessive. There is an easy way to invest
after you have your bills under control, that is to treat
your investment savings as “just another bill,” before you
know it, you will have a significant amount of money in your
savings account, you can invest.

3. Fear was the third most common reason the respondents don’t
invest. This fear can be easily conquered with education and
detailed information about investing.

Do you have plenty of money to invest, but you are simply
afraid? I think the term for that is, “fear of the unknown”.
That is probably the easiest investment stop addressed in
this article. The Internet has brought learning to our
fingertips, there are thousands of websites that teach
investing from a consumers perspective. Brokerage sites and
web portals provide research with detailed information about
stocks, mutual funds and other investments to protect your
interest and your money. If you are not Internet savvy, take
a trip to your local library, the librarian will show you how to use investment research catalogs such as Value Line reports for stocks research, and Morningstar Mutual Fund Reports for
Mutual Funds research. Doing your own research will teach
you how to choose low risk, low cost investments. Investment
research will also teach you how to analyze the investments
that your advisor chooses for you.

Around the same time Microsoft made its move with .Net introduction and tried to gain portion of cheaper databases market: Pervasive SQL/Btrieve, Ctree/Faircom - and launched free MSDE database program. General direction for all its accounting systems was chosen - Microsoft announced future releases of so called Microsoft suites: Microsoft Financial, Microsoft HR, Microsoft Logistics, Microsoft Manufacturing to name a few. However Microsoft did not announce which product (Great Plains, Solomon or Navision) will become the base or will be transformed into each specific suite. Al these suites will be integrated into web-based Microsoft Business Portal

This move, probably wise in the long run, exposed businesses with heavily customized MBS products to serious customization upgrade problems. We’ll give you our recommendation, based on our practice. In this article we’ll talk about Microsoft Great Plains.

  1. Great Plains Dexterity Customizations - Microsoft announced that its products will be moved to .Net platform. This means that Dexterity will be phased out/discontinued. However, even now Microsoft Great Plains 8.0 is still Dexterity-based application. So, if you have Dexterity customization - our recommendation is to phase it out or consider replacing it with these: Crystal Reports, SQL Stored Procs and triggers, Web Publishing (Visual Studio.Net) from Great Plains database, eConnect (SDK created to eCommerce developers to deploy Great Plains as back end)
  2. Pervasive SQL/Ctree migration to MS SQL - If you are still on these old platforms - then you are in trouble - you will be without Microsoft technical support by the end of 2004. When you do standard data migration via migration tool - Great Plains tables are migrated by the tool, however migration tooll has no info about your custom tables - these tables should be migrated manually. You can use MSSQL Server Linked Server construction to link to Pervasive/Ctree data. ODBC drivers can be installed from GP CDs.
  3. VBA/Modifier/Continuum - all these are good candidates for replacement by newer technologies, because these will not have their place in .Net platform.

Additional notes: When Great Plains Software designed Dexterity as the replacement to its discontinued Great Plains Accounting - it proclaimed that Dexterity is DB independent - which is true to some extent. However there are specifics, and Dexterity customization should be analyzed and tuned to work with MS SQL Server, if it was originally designed for btrieve/ctree. We are talking about customization upgrade for Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 7.0 to Microsoft Great Plains 8.0 or 7.5.

Roughly a decade ago the proposal of a wall-hung television could have been seen like heaven. It was out of the grasp of most purchasers, with higher charges that commanded taking out a 2nd mortgage to obtain these particularly stylistic televisions. Yet, over time, these dream television sets reached the point of attainability. Nevertheless, currently not something you can just go out and buy, it has of late little by little become much more of an option. Marked-up prices for these flat panel HDTV sets are at this moment decreasing quicker than new residential house values, and have made the dream a certainty.

In The Present Day there are 2 opposite flat-panel products; plasma & LCD. Whilst each product gives a clear picture and these television sets can look comparable from the front, the technology on the inside is by far different. And while LCD TVs have been limited to 37-inches & smaller, television sets with the liquid crystal display technology are at this moment in sizes as huge as plasma.

However, notwithstanding that, countless buyers deem plasma to offer quite a lot of very important improvements over LCD televisions. The major advantages is that plasma TV sets typically include deeper black levels-indicating that the blacks are truly black & not only a dark gray. This in turn means that the colours are much more vivid and believable. The current models from Sharp & LG have in actuality taken the black levels to incredible depths, and therefore have constructed the best pictures we have watched to date.

Despite the reports that plasma television sets “needs to be recharged” after five thousand hours, nothing can be further from the reality. Today’s flat panel plasma TV’s would often survive for sixty thousand hours or more, providing years of immense TV viewing. While there has been a worry over issues like that of burn-in (rightly so, as this could possible ruin that expensive plasma TV). the up-to-the-minute tellies have technology to deal with picture retention, giving pixel shift functions that slowly move the complete display, and more essentially, take-away any ghosting should static images essentially “stick” the picture. This consists of a white wash mode not counting an inverse mode to take-away all burn-in. For great deals on cheap TV Digital, there is only one website you need to visit, and that is Digital Direct.
